Calling Qs is a theater blog centering queer narratives, artists, and theater-makers, both onstage and off. This site began with general theater coverage in 2023 as The Ghost Light, but in June 2025, it undertook a shift in editorial direction to focus acutely on queer artists, taking on the name Calling Qs.

Jen Gushue is the creator of Calling Qs. They have been writing about theater for nearly a decade and have bylines in TDF Stages, New York Theatre Guide, Town & Country, American Theatre, and more. Jen is also a Supervising Editor at Wirecutter.
